CENTURY 21 ProLink

I can’t speak for all of Century 21, but there is no way I would recommend them based on the experience we had with our relator. I had been working with her over the past 2 years while looking for a house. She was always very positive and eager to show me houses. The same was true when we first found our house. However, after our offer was accepted at the price she recommended, (which was way more than other professionals have recommended since), it was all downhill. The communication was very lacking with me having to reach out to her more times than I could count. We went with an inspector she lined up who were are EXTREMELY dissatisfied with after discovering MULTIPLE issues with our house that have been so expensive and should have been caught in the home inspection (per the advice of other professionals we’ve had to hire to for these issues.) We had some negotiations with the sellers on things to fix, replace, etc, which our relator completely forgot about several times. Even at our walk through the night before closing there were things not done or fixed which was agreed upon being done. When I mentioned it to our realtor it was like it was the first time she had heard of it and I had to pull up the document that stated it. Even though these were things we had talked about them multiple times when visiting the house with the inspector, our contractors, and a few additional times we came back to the house. Not only did she not remember these agreed upon terms, she did not advocate for us in the least bit. Things that that were supposed to be “fixed” are extremely less than satisfactory including replacing a light cover with a different one that was still cracked and filling a part of the side walk that was done the morning of closing. At our walk through when we raised our concerns with her and the price we offered she kept referring to another house in this area she has sold and kept mixing them up. Along with the walk through, the previous sellers were not moved out, still had several pieces of furniture and boxes in the house, and had the electricity shut off replacing the dishwasher during our walk through. Even the next morning after we had closed, they were still here and left things in the garage that were supposed to be taken out. Our realtor did not say anything about this or address it to them. It seemed that after our offer was accepted, we were not cared for, looked out for, or supported in the least bit during our first home buying experience. I’m not one to write bad reviews or take them lightly, but also wanted to be honest about our experience and let others know as well. Would not recommend.

Last week, a large group of the team from Century 21 ProLink - Siouxland came to my house and completed several large projects around my home. They were looking for a family to donate their time to and I can’t be more grateful to have been selected. As a single mom of two children and a Stage 4 Cancer patient, most of my free time is spent creating lasting memories with my children or doing chemotherapy and radiation and navigating the side effects. Things like cleaning out the garage or hanging new blinds are pushed aside for more important things. The C21 team took on those projects and took a huge amount off my plate. Everyone was so kind and so efficient. What would have taken me days took them just over 2 hours. It was hard for me to sit back and let others take on these projects, but I can’t express how thankful I am for everyone’s help and thoughtfulness. You all made a huge impact on my heart, my little house and my little family. Thank you. Truly. Thank you all.
